Our building permits were approved promptly, which we were very happy about. Our septic approval took a bit longer. Unfortunately, the final building permit can't be issued until the septic is approved...this is in no way the county's fault, but once again our septic designer...We still ended up not too terribly far off the timeline in that regard.
One note on the 65/10 dispersion trench we opted for our storm water design. I guess somehow it got passed me that this means we are not allowed to clear 65% of our land. THAT STINKS! I really do not understand why exactly they insist on this, but they do. In hindsight, a rain garden may have been a better choice. Oh well!
I realize it is now already the middle of October. We have been incredibly busy working on our pre-construction checklist to meet our timelines and various other things, you know, life. We are also expecting baby #5 in May, so we would really like to move in before that and preferably not a week before either...
Ill post about the pre-construction checklist in another post.
