I am glad we pushed to schedule our flooring appointment before we even signed with HiLine. Once you sign and pay your fee, you have to pay a "penalty" to change any of your design choices. We ended up changing our mind entirely from the first visit. We, likewise, had to visit the flooring contractor twice. It gets pretty confusing when you have hundreds of flooring choices all around you!!!
So my advice would be, make all your choices before you sign that paper!
Remember, when you make your choices, this means you have to picture the paint you desire on the interior and exterior as well in order to end up with a cohesive look. I grabbed the trim piece, cabinet door and counter top to take with me to the flooring contractor. I am a visual person and am easily overwhelmed with trying to piece all of it together in my head which the first appointment proved. I left very frustrated and confused. The second time, I came better prepared!
The above picture with the flooring on the left was our final choice. On the right is a engineered hardwood and on the left is a solid hardwood. I am quite partial to solid hardwood and wanted the country feel in my home. As you can see, we changed the cabinet and trim choice from our first visit. I can't wait to see this in the house!
I am sorry about the blur on this image. It seems no matter how I upload it, it won't clear up. The point is just to show the sun light on the cabinet color. It lightens up quite a bit and has this beautiful, rich brown.
I guess this picture wants to be blurry too. We upgraded the faucet to be a sensor faucet. The standard did not look right to me with the under mount sink and granite. I like this one a lot.
That sums up the design choices! They are final now. No turning back. Next images of them should be in the actual house :D
